Every invoice in Bedspace Manager is defined by four attributes. The combination covers everything from auto-generated monthly rent to one-off expense entries.
Auto-generated
System creates invoices automatically at the start of each billing cycle — no action required from you
Manual
Create one-off invoices for any charge not covered by the billing cycle — move-out fees, deposits, ad hoc charges
Income invoice
Rent, fees, and any receivable from a tenant. Tracked against the lease or at business level
Expense invoice
Costs related to a property or the business — maintenance, utilities, vendor charges
Timed
Linked to a specific billing period (e.g. March 1–31). The invoice knows which period it covers
Untimed
No billing period — a standalone invoice for a one-off charge at any point in time
Business-wide
An invoice that applies to the overall business rather than a specific property
Property-specific
Tied to a specific property — visible in that property's financial summary
Invoices in Bedspace Manager cannot be edited or deleted. If an amount needs changing, you create an adjustment entry. If an invoice was issued in error, you void it — it stays in the audit trail but exits all financial calculations. This protects your financial records from accidental or intentional manipulation.
