Monthly billing done right
Shared accommodation operators bill monthly. But 'monthly' is more complex than it sounds — and getting it wrong costs you every cycle.
- Calendar billing: cycles run 1st to end-of-month with automatic proration for mid-month move-ins
- Custom billing: cycles run exactly 30 days from the move-in date, rolling every month
- Proration factor configurable per business: actual days or 30-day common denominator
- Recurring invoices: set rules once, generate monthly — in arrears, current month, or in advance
- Void, not delete: invoices stay in your audit trail even when voided
A tenant who moves in on the 17th gets a prorated first-month invoice, then full rent on the 1st of every month after. This should be automatic. With generic tools, it means manual calculations every time.
